Shih tzu are well behaved dogs and are very loyal to their owners. Shih tzus love kids and many will get along with cats. These dogs do not bark like other dogs, they are more quiet many will say," shih tzu don't bark". They are lap dogs and love the play.
Grooming it the hardest about this breed. Brushing needs to be done regularly. If you start early your shih tzu will learn to enjoy this while spending time with you. Also there are many different hair styles for this breed since they have lots of it. The shorter it is the easier it is to manage.
One of the best things about this breed is that it sheds little to no hair and are good for allergy suffers because they have little dander.
